Zeal for Christ was founded in 2025 as a nonprofit organization (currently pending 501(c)(3) status), with a deep desire to serve the community—especially underprivileged individuals and children with special needs.
This journey began during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I was hospitalized with COVID, isolated in a sealed room where only doctors and medical staff were allowed. One day, a housekeeping staff member entered—someone I had never met before. She quietly knelt beside my bed and prayed for me. She continued to do this for almost a week.
She didn’t know who I was, yet she carried such a burden for my healing. That act of selfless compassion deeply touched my heart and planted a seed in me—to serve others in a meaningful way.
Later, after moving to Atlanta, a dear sister encouraged me, saying, “You should do something for special children.” I kept it in prayer but did not act immediately. Months later, during a dinner, a family friend brought up the same topic—highlighting the struggles faced by children with autism and their families. Again, I listened, but I waited.
Then came a moment I couldn’t ignore.
After a meeting with friends, as we were casually talking, a shoe suddenly fell on my shoulder. When I turned around, I saw it was from a special needs child. The shoe could have fallen anywhere—but it fell on me. In that moment, I felt a clear calling: “Don’t wait. We are here.”
The very next day, another friend asked me, “You are organizing many events—but what are you doing for these children?”
That’s when everything connected. The repeated messages, the moments, the people—they were not coincidences. They were a calling.
And so, Zeal for Christ was born.
